American Enterprise / Museum Exhibition Content

Smithsonian NMAH (National Museum of American History)

Families in Business / Game Changers

Our team worked together to create a family of short films for The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History’s permanent exhibition, entitled “American Enterprise”. We collaborated with True Aim Productions and The History Channel to produce these unique insights into American business. The films celebrate successful industry game changers – CEOs such as Jeff Bezos (Amazon) and Mary Barra (General Motors). The content highlighted enduring family businesses like 5th-generation onion farmers, the Hartmans in Idaho, and Katherine Graham, heir to the Washington Post.  Through these influential powerhouses of our current economic and commercial landscape, our films conveyed the legacy, breadth and diversity of America’s business heritage.

Constant Change

As a part the American Enterprise exhibition, we created the Constant Change animated film. Our story compressed 400 years into a 13-minute animated journey of the U.S. economy, exploring the history through data, maps and statistics. To make sure the goal of educating and informing visitors to the exhibition was met, we used a visually arresting style. The animated film was split into 5 chapters, and showed the highs and lows of our economy, its effects on our citizens, as well as our influence in the world. Since the opening of the exhibition, there has been a huge increase in visitors – 100,000 each year.
