Smithsonian NMAH (National Museum of American History)

The National Museum of American History opened major permanent exhibits that hone in on aspects of early life in the modern day United States.  We continue to collaborate on content with True Aim, Smithsonian and History Channel and recently developed two animated videos for a series known as ‘The Nation We Build Together’ — the colonization of America and the progression of voting rights in the United States. 

WHO WERE THE PEOPLE (WWTP)

WWTP is a centerpiece video of the exhibit American Democracy: A Great Leap of Faith. This animated infographic gives a modern, clearly detailed, and aesthetically engaging depiction of who could vote and how many representatives each state was entitled to based on its population. We utilized both 2D and 3D animation to bring you a sleek and streamlined video that aims to ignite conversations, and entertain visitors both young and old who visit this permanent exhibition. Make sure to pay close attention, some of the statistics will catch you off guard and make you want to re-watch! We won’t be offended if you do.

UNSETTLING THE CONTINENT (UTC)

UTC is a new featured video from the exhibit Many Voices, One Nation that offers a seamless, in-depth look into the colonization of early America. The video, which portrays 250 years of immigration in 120 seconds, illustrates detailed migration patterns through clearly displayed colors that mix together smoothly and elegantly.

Both European migration and the journey of African slave ships are shown through constant streams from East to West, and the effects of mass immigration on Native Americans become quickly apparent. These first days of colonization offers keen insight to the making of what we consider modern day America.
