Super Ventures
AWE (Augmented Worldwide Expo) is one of the biggest and quintessential alternate reality / virtual reality conference and exhibition events in the world. Our studio set out to create a fresh new visual design theme for the AWE 2019 events, to be used online and in all channel communications, in order to capture the eyes of exhibitors, speakers and attendees for AWE’s 10th anniversary.
CONCEPT DESIGN
When exploring concepts, it was important to consider that the 10th year needed to feel special but also part of the established, existing AWE branding. Big picture keywords and phrases of ‘Next Dimension’ and ‘A View of Tomorrow’ were focused on during the concept phase —— the idea of a positive view of tomorrow, where technology and art converge to create a new beautiful kind of life to improve the world. Visually, concepts consisted of compositions of illusory contours, which through light and projections, reveal the volume of objects.
Our concept – Magic portal utilizing a multitude of outlined layers and geometric patterns to enhance the depth of the design, creating a optical illusion into the infinite space, provoking a person’s curiosity and adventurous side upon viewing.
DESIGN / MOTION / ANIMATION
AR / VR technology provides you with truly immersive experiences and when designing the actual elements we wanted to encompass those exact feelings.
For the project, we were focused more on design and setting the brand identity, however knowing we would be working closely with the animation team, we made sure the design was setup for motion and GFX in a friendly way that under our direction would encapsulate the original concept's direction.
