The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are famous from around the world, known for not only their iconic outfits but their gold standard of dancing and performing. In the CMT show, Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making the Team - a batch of veterans and new hopefuls go through the process of trying out to be one of the few chosen to rock the blue and silver on gameday.
As the women become stars in their own right, and larger than life role models for so many, our treatment channeled a super heroic vibe. They have a pure and natural energy to all their moves and we wanted to crank that up even further by adding flairs and energy auras around them.
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
We collaborated with the team @ CMT on a range of assets, from Show GFX Package, to Promo support and Key Art, working closely with a range of different departments all to drive a unified - powerful female look.
MAIN TITLE
40x20 LED screen, 40 animated backgrounds, stadium turf, a custom song, routine and 10 incredible performers. All elements were in play to create an exciting and impactful sequence that would really emphasize the women as being larger than life, supreme athletes. The edit style of varied speed highlights signature moves —- the GFX style highlights the outlines of the women, with each action creating literal energy and flairs around them, we gave them the super hero treatment they deserve.
