GOOGLE STORE TOKYO/ PIXEL 11 LAUNCH, EVERGREEN CONTENT /3D DOOH / Retail / Tokyo

Google

Adolescent worked on and celebrated the opening of Google’s first international flagship store in Tokyo, Adolescent helped shape how the new Google Store Omotesando would come to life in the physical world. Working from the “Ask more” concept, we created bold, playful motion experiences for the exterior 3D LED and first-floor retail windows, transforming the storefront into a living expression of Google, Pixel, Gemini, and AI. At the center is the store’s distinctive corner LED display, designed to command attention from multiple directions and become a visual focal point in one of Tokyo’s most iconic shopping districts. Across the public-facing floors, animated windows add movement, curiosity and discovery.

The goal was bigger than announcing a new product. It was about making Google feel physical, immediate and alive, taking “Ask more” beyond the screen and inviting people to stop, look closer and step inside.

PIXEL 11 / MOLTEN METALLICS

For the Pixel 11 launch, Adolescent connected animation experiences across the store's first and second-floor windows.

The second-floor corner display starts with a sliding wall that opens to reveal the Molten Metallics world. Chrome forms gather, merge, and transform into the new Pixel 11 Pro, using the corner screen to create the optical illusion that the Pixel and metallic forms extend beyond the screen.

Weightless chrome orbs drift through a clean, canyon-toned space on the first-floor window, with real metallic sculptures integrated into the window display alongside the phones. The combination creates depth and the illusion that the forms break into physical space.

Together, the two experiences blend digital, physical, and optical illusion to bring Pixel 11 to life across both levels.

ICONS

EVERGREEN ICONS

Giving Google’s icons a new dimension. We inflated, pushed, squeezed and stretched Google’s new icons into a playful anamorphic world. The wall slides open, the Gemini star leads the way, and a cast of icons for entertainment, photos, messaging and maps bursts into life.

They pop, bounce and spill beyond the screen, each with its own personality, coming together in one energetic, dimensional Google world.

EVERGREEN EMOJI

The wall slides open, revealing a playful stage. “Oh Hey Tokyo” floats into view before getting a playful bounce from a cool, smiling face. The character blows a heart into the street, followed by a burst of confetti as the celebration builds. Finally, hands forming a heart float outward, sharing a little Google love with everyone passing by.

It is simple, joyful, and unmistakably Google, using 3D not as a visual trick but as a smart creative tool to turn the storefront into a moment people notice, remember, and want to step into.
